Short and Simply. When they first came out I spokew to Russel about them and he told me that they would be direct bolt ons. I bought stage 3 turbos from Z1, I believe I was either the first or second to receive these from them. When i got them I took them down to my mechanic Rich from RichZTech. He installled them and gave me a call. Thinking his call was to tell me to come pick up the car, which is 3 hours away, i got excited. But his call was for bad new only. He began to tell me that first of all after the installation he started the car up and when he took it out for a test drive, there would be smoke instantly coming out of the exhuast like a fild fire. Also he told me that they were not direct bolt on turbos, the outer flange that looks like a triangle was missing. I spoke to z1 about the situation, first it was Ash. He told me to send the turbos back and they would check them to see if anything was wrong with them or if maybe there was something wrong during the installation process, which i highly doubt. Well i sent the turbos back and i called them monday to see if they got them yet. I spoke with John in the process of all this also. John told me that they got the turbos and that they didnt see anything wrong with them. He then stated that they would be sending them to there turbo specialist. Well I called them on the 12th, spoke to Robert, who stated he would call the turbo guy later on that day to see what the deal was. Well I called back on the 13th, and I spoke with John. When I asked him about the turbos he told me that there turbo guy hasn't called them back yet, and that he would call him later today. Well I called back today and spoke to John again. When I asked him what the deal with my turbos was, he stated that he left a message to there turbo specialist, but hasnt heard from him.
Well I asked John what the deal was with my turbos, and there turbos they have on there website. My turbos did not look like that. Mine looked like they were remanufactured and not brand new. Also mine were missing the whole outer flange that looks like a triangle. John told me that they picture they had on there website was a prototype, and that theres didn't come with the flange. WOW does that make sense? Why have a picture of an other turbo on your website if it isn't them one you sell? Also when they sent me they turbos along with there downpipes. I received no gaskets that were to go between the the five bolts of the turbo and the downpipe. When I brought this up to John, he stated that they ran out, and that they used some kind of copper as a substitue. That would of been nice to tell me before sending me the turbos.I Also spent an extra $400.00 dollars in labor to have the turbos put on correctly since there weren't direct bolt on like Russel had told me. Well right now im pissed and I'm car less. This is ridiculous and I dont understand what the problem is, and why its taking so long. I'm a very down to earth guy, But enough with the bullshit already. Everytime i try to get ahold of Russell, it's either "oh he's not here" or "I dont know when he'll be back". Im sick of this, i trusted you guys with my money and I keep getting this attitude from z1 that they don't care at least thats how I feel. Either send me some new, not used turbos, or just give me my money back. I will be posting on here again as i get more information, hopefully they take the time to see that this is no joke, especially for me.
